A few days ago I saw a picture in a magazine that just sent me over the wall.  I had to try to make these things.  And so I did.  So, a bit of trial and error, here they are, a bit different than the pictures I saw ---- they are my version of the picture, not a copy of someone else's idea.  The 'art deco' look is a design I have always liked and had doodled it over the years.  This is the first knitting I have tried with the design.

Hi there!  It has been a long stretch between blog writings!  Well, a lot has been going on, just regular living and holidays, travels, company in between.  And then, of course there is knitting, creating journals and finding a new interest (I need to stop!!!) in making some Sugar Lip Scrubs.

The journals are easy to photograph. The knitting? Not so much.  The Cowls and Boot Toppers work well with the camera but not the Fingerless Gloves or Leg Warmers.  And of course the Sugar Lip Scrubs photos well.

So here are a few pictures to encourage you to shop at my Etsy shop.  Stop in and see -- perhaps some good ideas for Graduation presents, Mother's Day gifts, Father's Day gifts, Journals for travelers, and on and on. Etsy ! The place to shop!!!

And now back to the Knitting and Journal creating!  Knitting for Ecology Sports in Sister Bay, WI, and Journals for Seasons on St. Croix Art Gallery in Hudson, WI!

Thanks for stopping by at my blog!  Come again!  And in the mean time,

ATCs

ATCs

Today I have been working on some ATCs.  Artist Trading Cards.  I am in a birthday exchange and am very behind and then I need some for a couple of creative minds so, the knitting needles and book binding materials have been laid down the ATCs picked up.

I couldn't help but take a picture of the thread box!  I love it!

And some mini crazy quilts ready to be turned into ATCs
3"X21/2" when finished.

And one in progress.

And one that is finished.  Now all I need to do is to glue it onto a 3"X21/2" rectangle of card stock and sign my name, print my name and email, blog, address, info.  I trade with people all around the world so that virtual address is important to me.  I like seeing where my ATCs have come from.

And just for fun, a picture of my scissors.  I love scissors!  In this one place alone --  the cozy den where I do a lot of knitting and hand sewing, -- I have these 5 scissors.  In the kitchen? 1.  In the car, 1. In my studio, another 3.  Always at the ready!!!!!!

Google ATCs and see what you can learn.  Perhaps you will be starting to create them and trade them!  Have a great day!!!
